If I had not done karate I would not be where I am right now. Karate has helped me so much. It has helped me realize how important my zanshin/awareness is and controlling my temper. Getting my Black Belt means so much to me. It will help me get to go to a better college, which will lead to a better life. And if I were to get my Black Belt, I would be comfortable going wherever knowing I could defend myself. Getting my Black Belt means to me that I can go through something without turning back (perseverance). Also my mom Ann, my sister Taylor and my brother Michael are Black Belts. I want to make everyone in my family proud of me. That is what getting my Black Belt means to me.

Alex comes from one of the top karate families in the land …
Black Belts all … sister Taylor, brother Michael, and mother Ann.

If he keeps practicing bass, he’ll eventually do a concert you won’t want to miss …
The musical talent he must have gotten from guitar dad, Chris.

Alex has big dreams, but only time will tell …
If he makes the big bucks playing in the NFL!

I’ve been lucky to watch Alex grow from a little kid to an awesome young lad …
His personality, wit and self-control I don’t think is just a fad.

I hope 20 years from now I’ll still know Alex and his awesome family …
Because if I’m that lucky, then all their goodness will rub off on me!
