Ode to David Czyz

David started karate as a wee lad of about 10.
Now he has grown so tall, I think I’m barely up to his chin!
He can do the nunchakus with a lot of pizazz and flair …
But what’s most impressive: He does it without messing up his hair!
His grades at school show he really is smart …
His talent is endless! You should see some of his art!
Brother Chris and sister Sarah, both got Black Belts, and then to college they did flee …
I’m sure Robert and Margaret are proud of David becoming only our ninth 3rd Degree.
His katas, kisos and self defense … yes, they do flow.
But David has yet another gift: his great talent on the piano!
David’s talents are many and far reaching.
And let’s not forget his great contribution to our school with his teaching!
I would like to thank David for all he has done for our school …
His future will be awesome, and he will always be cool.
