Ode to Ed Reitz

Ed came to karate, looking all stocky and strong …
Most people who start karate don’t last very long.
But he persevered, and tonight he has reached one of his many dreams …
He is one of the few to make the Black Belt team.
Ed’s humility, humor and discipline help make his life soar like a bird ...
And the wind beneath his wings is Alex and Edward!
But the best move he could make was the one to marry.
Like all men, he needed someone to keep him straight, and that woman is Kerry.
Ed has lots of activities ... having something to do he’s never stuck …
We sure are wondering if he’ll ever finish his old truck!
From keeping the Range Rover on the road and going far …
How is he ever going to find time to strum on his new guitar?
All of us at karate are suspicious about Ed’s many trips, far and wide …
We have concluded that, yes, Ed speaks Thai.
Is he CIA, FBI or Secret Service? … We’re not sure where he goes …
But one thing’s for sure: He’s not your Average Joe.
All of Ed’s volunteering helps him stand out in a crowd.
We’re so happy to have Mom here … I’m sure she’s very proud.
Thanks, Ed, for touching many lives in the community, and here at our school …
You may be just a guy, but to us you are the Crown Jewel!
