Karate has helped me become more confident in my life. Karate has taught me to set and then achieve the goals I have in my life. Karate has kept me active so that I wouldn’t be glued to the couch. Since I was little, Mr. Jones has taught me that just because someone wants to fight, it doesn’t mean you have to. Karate has become part of my life. Black Belt is a goal that has taken many years to achieve. Black Belt is one of the major goals in my life that I wanted to finish. By getting my Black Belt, I will be able to join a group of people that I have looked up to for guidance and help. These are the people I respect. Another big reason to get my Black Belt is that my dad has to call me “Mr. Reitz.”

Edward Reitz

by Conrad Jones, December 2006

Edward is a cool guy who’s not easily led …
He got his cool hair from mom Kerry, and his muscles from dad Ed.

His hobbies are football and drums, and he’s getting pretty good, too.
He also likes Grandma’s cooking (don’t we all!), and LSU.

He’s got great goals in college … he uses big words like “forensic” and “architectural.”
So besides the Black Belt, he also can be an intellectual.

Edward’s self-control over the years has kept him out of many fights …
And he’s reached another goal … his dad now calls him “Mr. Reitz.”

Thank you, Edward, for all your effort and perseverance for these many years …
Keep listening to Mom and Dad, and in life you’ll get to hear many cheers!
