Karate has helped me in many ways. One way is self-defense. Now I feel safer because I know how to defend myself. Mr. Jones has taught me how important it is to use awareness. I know now that I should always be aware of who and what is around me. Another trait karate has taught me is respect. If you show respect you can stay out of trouble better, get along with more people, and learn from people. I have also learned perseverance through karate. I know that if you keep trying, then you will come far in life. Even if you think you will not succeed, keep on trying. You can do a lot if you use perseverance. Getting my Black Belt means a lot to me. At first, I thought that it was so far away and I could never do it. It seemed impossible. Getting my Black Belt means to me that I have self-discipline to achieve big goals and that I can actually achieve them. Now I can achieve big goals if I work hard.

Hannah has worked so hard, and she catches on so quick …
And let me tell you, this girl can really kick!

One of her goals is to help others and become a good person in life …
She’s also going to be super healthy, with her favorite foods being pasta and rice.

Hannah likes horses, shopping and cooking, and for everyone she seems to care …
If she really cared about me, she’d let me borrow some of her awesome hair!

Thanks to Art and Suzanne, Hannah is so well-grounded — she’ll get far in her goals.
She has the courage, respect and discipline to get through life’s foes.

To see Hannah come through the door has brought my life cheer …
I respect her whole family so much, I’m sure today has brought me a tear.
