I started taking karate because I liked to kick and punch. My parents knew it meant a lot more than that, and over the years I have realized it means a lot more, too. Karate has helped me to be self-disciplined. I have learned that if I want something I have to work hard for it. I have to be committed and dedicated to the goal. I also have to have the confidence to know that I can achieve any goals. I believe I knew this when Mr. Jones tied on my white belt when I was 3-1/2. I owe a lot to Mr. Jones, my parents and my grandparents for helping me achieve this goal and building my character, which determines who I will be as a person.

When John Adam started karate, he was only three …
He was so young and cute, he wasn’t much bigger than a flea!

His perseverance he must have gotten from parents Connie and John.
Of brothers Joey and Jason, and sister Jenna, he is particularly fond.

John Adam’s respect and admiration for his grandparents surely does show …
Watching him get his Black Belt today makes them very proud, I know.

With more big goals ahead like college and the FBI …
I know that your life is destined to be super high!

John Adam, you and your family I truly respect and admire …
You have the ability in this life to get everything you want to acquire.
