| Perseverance, self-confidence and respect are some of the many aspects karate has taught me. If I did not know how to persevere, I would not have completed many tasks and goals. Karate has helped me learn how to set goals and achieve them. Karate has not just helped me mentally, but also physically. It has gotten me in shape for other sports and taught me ways to defend myself. Karate has taught me many life lessons. Getting my Black Belt means many things to me. It shows me that I can achieve anything if I set my mind to it. I can accomplish many if not all of my goals. Getting my Black Belt also means that I am achieving one of my biggest goals. It shows other people that I am a well-rounded person and can stick with many things. I also am earning respect from my parents and friends when I am earning my Black Belt. I would not have been able to come this far if it were not for my parent’s and brother’s support. They were always there when I needed help and supported me the whole way. Mr. Jones has also helped me. He has taught me everything I know. | ||
