What a Black Belt means to me:
What getting a Black belt means to me: Getting my black belt is a huge accomplishment for me. I started karate with my dad 5 years ago. 5 years ago I thought getting an orange belt was a huge accomplishment because I didn't see the big picture. I didn't see the black belt was the real goal. When I saw the real goal, I started working harder and going to more classes. When my dad got his black belt I got him to start helping me.
When I get my black belt I will stand with some of the (in my perspective) greatest black belts like Mr. Glass, Mr. Shepherd, Mr. Stone, and the best of the best, Mr. Conrad Jones. Another thing is I wouldn't be in this test without the help of Mr. Bell, Miss Hagerty, and Miss Weathers too. I will be a part of the achievement of all those that have become Black Belts before me. Having a black belt means I will have the responsibility to be a good role model for the rest of the students and encourage others to do their best to get their black belt like what my dad did for me. That is what becoming a Black Belt means to me. |
