The Ballad of Patrick East

Patrick was so quiet, he never talked much or acted like a ham.
I guess that’s why none of us knew his favorite food was rack of lamb!

Attaining a Black Belt at Patrick’s age, many would scoff!
But with Patrick anything’s possible. He may be the next “Tiger” at golf!

His great respect, perseverance and discipline are his future keys …
Not unlike Patrick’s favorite baseball team, the New York Yankees!

As Christopher and Angela watch Patrick grow up, I’m sure their eyes sometimes fill with mist …
Especially when their son says he wants to be like Dad and become an anesthesiologist!

Patrick’s attitude and great smile are as rare as a newborn Panda.
And I’m sure he knows he’s lucky to have a sister like Amanda.

As I grow older, some days bad things happen, and some days you like the least …
But a smile comes to my face, as it should yours, if you’re lucky enough to know Patrick East!
