Karate has helped me by realizing that how war and people doing wrong things could not happen if they all controlled themselves. I also realize how karate has helped me by being nice to my brothers and sister, as well as defending myself. What getting a Black Belt means to me is that I have achieved a hard but astounding goal. Now since I started karate, when I feel like giving up I say to myself, you’ve made it this far so come on and do it. Also, even if I pass or don’t I have to keep going.

Rachel is so cool, she seems to always be in a good mood …
One reason is she lists as her favorite things to eat her Mom’s food!

Rachel puts a lot of effort into everything, and I’m sure after today’s test she’s aching …
I bet she’ll go home and do one of her favorite hobbies, Black Belt baking.

I’ll never forget the smile Rachel had the day before her birthday … She was really kickin’ …
She came in and said so excitedly, “I’ve got four new chickens!”

Rachel always thinks of others and asks about our goals …
She brings fun to people’s lives, around her you can’t have many lows.

Rachel, thank you for your effort and smile … you are so cool.
My life and everyone else’s life has gotten better since you’ve been at our school.
