Savannah Weathers

Promotions: Shodan 11/16/07
Family Members: Tim and Donna Weathers, Savannah (me, 14), Abby (12), Christopher (10), Virginia (8), Julia (5), Kaitlyn (3), and another who’s due date is December 24, Christmas Eve.
Favorite Foods: well … I’m a pretty good eater but nothing beats my mom’s turnip greens, or back porch soup.
Hobbies: I enjoy swimming … most of the time at least, hanging out with friends and family, reading books, going to movies and all that teenager stuff.
Goals: First and foremost I want to glorify God in everything I do. Along with that I want to pursue karate and hopefully get my second degree black belt before going to college, make it through college alive … and be the kind of person people want to hang out with. I also want to be a great wife and raise a loving, respectful family.
What Getting Black Belt Means To Me: Getting black belt means that I have achieved a goal that is a little more difficult than saving up three bucks for a toy … it also helps me realize that I can achieve things that take time and effort. As a fourteen-year-old teenager, I haven’t had to work hard for a lot of things or persevere for a long time to get something. Normally I just ask for it or press a button and there it is. But getting black belt makes me feel like I can really accomplish things in my life and just makes me want to push harder for things that take even more time and effort than getting ready for black belt.

Savannah Weathers

Being the oldest of soon-to-be seven kids, Savannah is wise beyond her years.
Her patience, perseverance and flexibility are enough to bring one to tears.

Being a teacher at the karate school, she is earning a lot of green.
But, like she said before, nothing matches her mom’s turnip greens!

She does a great job teaching, and the kids love her, one and all.
Hard to believe she’s just 14 … She’s so darn tall!

Thanks, Tim and Donna, for letting Savannah be a part of our school.
Good luck with the newborn … as with the rest, she’s bound to be a crown jewel!

Thanks, Savannah, for being such an awesome influence on everyone you meet.
As in swimming, in life you are at the top of the heap!

You are definitely a Black Belt through and through …
You’ve made our lives better, by being such a big part of our school.
