| What a Black Belt means to me: Flash! Flashes surround me as a black piece of cloth ... Wait, no, it's a ... Black Belt! Tears of joy appear in my eyes as I receive that Black Belt, and people see me crying the tear of joy but I don't care, and they see in my tear something magical: all my sweat, my pride, my happiness, all the hard work that I have put into achieving this goal, all paid off. And I was ... finally ... happy ... That was just part of what I think of when I think about my test coming up. What getting a Black Belt means is that I have achieved a long-term goal and it shows people how much perseverance I have with goals. I want to be an example for all the younger belts at our dojo by showing respect, awareness, kindness and happiness. To show the real me is to act the way a Black Belt would behave in public. I want to thank Mr. Jones for being an awesome person and being patient with me since I was five years old! I can only hope to be like him in my old age. I also want to thank all the Black Belts that helped me during my training. Especially Mr. Bell for helping me every chance that he got out of his busy, BUSY schedule. | ||
