Kisos

Kiso means fundamental. These are the basic techniques (waza) used for beginning sparring (kumite) training. The two main aspects of Kisos are distance (ma-ai) and timing. Body Shifting (tai sabaki) is also introduced in the Kisos. Kisos build strength, coordination, and reflexive thinking.
